- Friday and Sunday afternoons see heavy traffic returning to Beirut from mountain areas - plan departure accordingly
- Service taxis operate on fixed routes with set prices - confirm destination and price before boarding (LBP 2,000-5,000 depending on distance)
- Mountain destinations require 10-15°C warmer clothing than Beirut, in winter months
- Most archaeological sites close at 4 PM in winter and 6 PM in summer - plan morning visits
- Carry small denominations (LBP 1,000-5,000 notes) for service taxis and local vendors
- Weekend mountain traffic peaks 4-7 PM - depart destinations by 3 PM or after 7 PM
- Reserve beach clubs in advance during summer weekends - Jounieh beaches fill quickly
- Always carry passport copies - some southern destinations have military checkpoints requiring ID
